DERROLD HOLCOMB

Derrold and Gary Bowersox, explorers club hawaii chapter chairman board of directors, have been buddies since the late 1990s. Derrold was born in Detroit, Michigan.  Derrold earned his bachelor of science degree in chemistry and a masters of science in geophysical science from the Georgia Institute of Technology. While in college Derrold build has own boat in which he sails the ocean today. He is comfortable in the middle of the ocean or at 15,000 feet in the Hindu Kush and High Pamir Mountains.

Derrold is acknowledged as one of the world’s top remote sensing software experts. He develops civilian projects as well as government projects for the USA, German and Turkish governments. Derrold is a worldly scientist and explorer. He has explored Africa, China and Mongolia. Together Derrold and Gary have explored Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Pakistan and Afghanistan.
